This honor isn’t about one person – we celebrate all the moments with our team. They continuously look for ways to improve and serve the district with excellence. We prioritize listening to our employees, investing in training and creating an environment where people feel respected and supported, which ultimately provides better service for our students and families.
Over time, we’ve become more intentional about communication and recognition, which has strengthened trust and accountability across the department. When we first started together, we started with trust, our team asked a lot of questions and then we provided answers. Hearing their concerns and providing feedback showed our team we were active, there for our team and were all putting in the work.

The low level ‘controlled’ noise and the interactions of my elementary students I consider to be the sound of ‘God’s music’ behind me.
All in all, Rockwall Independent School District Transportation Department is a great place to work. I am proud to be a part of this team and the many wonderful people who work there.
